Panoply: A social network designed to combat depression
This article describes a different approach to computerised cognitive behavioural therapy for depression – embedding it in a social network. A post from a depressed user will trigger a three-tiered wave of crowdsourced action, including
1. support/sympathy
2. labelling of distorted view of reality and/or illogical thinking
3. rewriting of the entire post from a different perspective
It is an interesting approach and the initial results published in Journal of Medical Internet Research should be an interesting read, too.
